This property is the premiere water fowl and pheasant hunting in Harney County. In 1998, 541.29 acres was placed in the Wetlands Reserve Program. Over the next several years there was a plan instrumented to enhance all wildlife in the area. Besides the great wetlands project, this property borders approximately 3 ¼ miles of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge which was established in 1908 by President Theodore Roosevelt. The Refuge now covers over 187,000 acres.

The owner held out of the Wetlands 100.52 acres which they can manage in any way that they would like. They currently have approx. 30 acres in alfalfa, and 40 acres in barley. These fields are irrigated by the well through wheel lines.
