Teena is a Principle Broker licensed in Hawaii and Oregon. She is very excited to be managing the only United Country real estate office in the Hawaiian Islands. She works together with her husband, Neal Genge. He is a salesperson and a great support to their real estate business. Their diversity and different personalities work well complimenting each other and that extends down to meeting the needs of their clients. Neal does all the drone videos and 360 video tours to market properties. It could be said they have both beauty and brains!
Originally from Oregon, Teena loved the summers but disliked the cold cold winters. She loved the ocean so the thrill of living in the warmth and seeing the ocean every day brings her much contentment and happiness. Teena and Neal are farming a 11 acre ranch outside of the small town of Naalehu, HI located down in the Southpoint area in the Kau District. In southern Oregon, Teena worked managing properties and gained the skills of good investments and what is really considered "good bones" in the real estate world. She can see a house and see potential or see so many of the issues that make it a money pit verses a good investment. In the past Teena has been involved in the hard work of fixing up properties. Teena while single, purchased a home in 2016 and went thru the process of remodeling it. Much of the work she did herself because of all she learned while working with her ex husband in the construction industry. In just a short period of time she was able to sell and use the proceeds to help buy their home in Hawaii. She's all about hard work and you'll see it in every step of the home buying or selling process.
Teena is all about people. Her happiness comes from caring about other people. She devotes much of her time to assist ones who are deaf and challenged. She gives of herself without pay to manage and represent these beautiful souls who can't stand up for themselves. In 2019 Teena fought for guardianship of a young 25 year old deaf man who needed someone to advocate for him and teach him about life. She had been helping him since he was 10 but circumstances changed and he needed someone to speak up for him and she willingly did this and is blessed to have him in her life sharing the experience of Hawaii. You will often seen him waving at all the locals at farmers market.
With all the years of supporting experience in construction and customer care, Teena brings her enthusiasm and attention to detail in to every transaction. Fluent in Dactylology (sign language), Teena is all about communication and her clients love it! Buying or Selling a home is a huge commitment, and Teena is steady and sure in making sure everyone has a comfortable, knowledgeable, and successful experience. If you're the type of person who wants the facts, Teena's careful calculations will leave you certain you've "found the one."
