Jake Blackburn Broker

Born & Raised in Eastern Oregon

Jake Blackburn is an Eastern Oregon native who grew up farming just outside of Burns. His deep roots in the community started early through 4-H, FFA, and just about every sport offered. Before entering real estate, Jake spent his younger years during the summer doing construction, cutting hay, and working for the OYCC. During that time, he built fences, restored aspen groves, and helped restore the historic willow corrals on the Riddle Brothers' Ranch on Steens Mountain. As he went through college, Jake also spent several summers working as a wildland firefighter. These experiences shaped a work ethic that he carries into everything he does today.

After attending Western Oregon University, Jake finished his schooling at Eastern Oregon University in 2022, where he played college football for both universities. While finishing his degree in Business Administration with a focus on Agribusiness, he began pursuing his career in real estate during his days off from firefighting. Jake quickly became passionate about the business, enjoying the variety of the work—whether it’s spending a day out in the field showing a ranch, taking property photos, or building marketing materials. For Jake, every day in real estate is its own adventure.

Jake is proud to be back at his roots, working for the family business that has served Eastern Oregon since 1960. As a fourth-generation broker, he has experience across all categories—including residential, commercial, and bare land—but his true focus remains on the farms, ranches, and recreational hunting properties that his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather handled before him. By combining a lifetime of family knowledge with his Agribusiness background and a grasp of modern technology, Jake ensures that his clients get honest, expert service every time.

Jake was also recently awarded the Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) designation. This puts him in a small group of the most high-performing and educated land experts in the country. He joins his father, Curt Blackburn, as a fellow ALC designee, making them a well-rounded team for agricultural and recreational transactions. When he isn’t in the office or out on a property, Jake stays busy hunting, fishing, farming, and spending time with his dogs. He also stays involved in the community by coaching high school football. Jake is eager to put his lifelong work ethic to use helping buyers and sellers navigate the Eastern Oregon market with honesty and local insight.

Curt Blackburn Principal Broker

Curt Blackburn is the owner of United Country Jett Blackburn Real Estate Inc. located in Burns Oregon.  Jett Blackburn Real Estate is a family owned business and has served Harney County since 1960.  Jett Blackburn Real Estate has been in the family for three generations started Curt’s grandfather Jett and his father Jett C. Blackburn selling houses, farms, and ranches in Eastern Oregon for decades. Curt grew up in Harney County and as a kid worked cattle ranches and on hay farms. He currently still has a hay farm in the Burns area.  After graduating from Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls Oregon with an associate degree in Electronic Engineering and a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management, Curt came back to Burns, Oregon to work in the family business.  He has been a licensed real estate agent since 1990.  When not selling real estate, Curt helped coach the Burns High School Football for 19 years, served on the City of Burns Council, sat on the Harney County Hospital budget board and the Harney County budget board. Curt is a member of the Shriners (Al Kader), Lions, and Elks Club. His hobbies include an active lifestyle with hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and flying his new drone filming his listings. Curt and his wife Kaeko raised their children in Harney County. One is an Oregon University graduate who is in law enforcement, one graduated from Oregon State University and is a civil engineer in John Day, Oregon, and the youngest graduated from Eastern Oregon University and is working in real estate here in Burns. Curt has a vast knowledge of real estate in eastern Oregon and has sold all typed of real estate, houses, commercial, bare land, recreational, forest, farms and ranches in Harney, Grant, Lake, Malheur and Crook counties.  He specialized in Ag and Recreational properties. With his years of experience and knowledge in real estate make him an asset for all of your real estate needs.
